From a very young age, Tracy loved to defend her point! She always stands for what she believes in. Having a strong work ethic and showing empathy towards her clients have led her to a successful career in family law.
She has practiced family law for over 20 years and having appeared before the court at both the trial and appeal levels since 2004. Throughout her career she has represented clients in simple negotiations to very complex litigation matters, and everything in between. Having her Collaborative Law certificate and Advanced Collaborative Law Certificate have enabled her to conduct interest-based negotiations.
In 2022, she obtained her King’s Counsel designation which recognizes the accomplishments and contributions made by individuals to their profession and community.
Tracy chose a career in family law as she is passionate about it, knowing she can make a difference in areas that matter the most to people: their children and financial security. She cares about her clients and wants to help them get through what is often the most difficult time of their lives. She enjoys advocating for her client’s rights, and what is right for them and their family.
"I thrive in giving my clients piece of mind. I believe that knowledge is power and understanding your rights and obligations is key to reaching any resolution. The decisions that need to be made in family law are the most important emotional decisions a person will ever have to make, and I want to play an active role in these."
Tracy has seen the devastating effects a separation can have on her clients, their children and loved ones. Knowing that her clients are often dealing with a wide range of emotions, she strives in making them feel comfortable and listen to understand their needs with compassion and empathy.
Her analytical approach enables her to see more than one way of resolving a situation or arguing a case. "I look at a case from all angles to be able to draw logical conclusions. Creative problem solving has shown me that the best solution is not always the most obvious one. You need to think outside the box!"
In addition to running a busy practice, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family and can often be seen cheering on her son at the rink.
